e39 aircon

hi there my wifes e39 aircon is playing up first off the electric fan was seized solid so i bought 1 and fitted it no probs then had the system regassed but when i turn the aircon to cold interior fan on full it still blows warm . the compressor clutch pulls in and the electric pusher fan works could the problem be the heater valve not working if so is there a easy test for this is it servicable or do i just buy a new 1

Could be the compressor is knackered even thought it appears to kick-in . Had similar prob on an E36 .

If it is you should be able to find one on web for between £60-90 rather than pay main dealers £350-400 price .

feel the pipe either side of the compressor. Small pipe should be hot and the large pipe should be cold.
