they are nice, but they all mostly have gash grey leather (think its buffalo hide)
pretty sure you can get cheap classic insurance
what about an 840?
have to admit i love the 8 series looks great from the back

Mate has his red 850 plus a blue 840 and a 750 as breakers . . .
Prices seem to be all over the place at the moment, anything from £1,200 for a rusty lemon to a £12,000 minter . . .
Nice thing about these is that loads have been owned and cared for by people who could afford proper regular servicing . . . I was watching these a while ago (my dad was interested) and saw one go that was owned by Pete Waterman, loads more as company directors cars . . .
If you can afford to run a V12 then go for it
I reject your idea of reality and replace it with my own

The 840 is probably the better car for many reasons, BUT, I would still go for the 850 for no other reason than it IS a V12 . . .Pilsbury wrote:840i (or, preferably an 840Ci, with the 4.4) is just as quick, cheaper to run, lighter and sportier, plus you can get it in manual.
Only 850 I'd take over an 840 would be the CSi.

i used to walk past one of these everyday on my way to school ! Thinking one to add to my 'must buy' list. Sadly it and a few of the other larger engined cars shall have to wait till i get to the section entitled 'don't have 9 points anymore' ...
