Agreed. I am looking at that thinking the running gear needs to be lifted into my e30, followed by a wee upping of the boost.Blitz wrote:I think its a pretty good price considering its rarity and that's its mint.

the numbers are stupid these daysredsmasher wrote:Interesting how it's called a 745 when its a 3.? I know the numbers don't mean much nowadays but they did then.
I read somewhere that they called it that cos it made 4.5 na kind of power.

Thats it, I remember now, it wasnt gareths car as I have seen that a number of times but yours, for some reason though remember it as a touring. I also remember you saying you had left the 316 badge on to which I replied that I was the sort of muppet to fall for thatDRIFTBOY wrote:That Touring belongs to Gareth who is also on here.robbo86 wrote:So it wasnt you who had a 3.5 tourer at the first Kent meet in Ashford I went to, you only got an m40?Unfortunately, my wallet is only rated at about 110bhp
I have the diamond black 3.5 (well, 3.4) 2-door.
It's now turbocharged - see page one of this thread!
You won't have been the only one!robbo86 wrote: I also remember you saying you had left the 316 badge on to which I replied that I was the sort of muppet to fall for that

Correct about the 1.4 figure ~~~~ oem engine size in the beginning was 3.2 x 1.4 = 4.5 later cars had 3.5 but same output was :: 252 bhp and 280 lbs/ft tq or 380 nmcecotto479 wrote:745 name was something to do with the way they calculated the nominal cc of racing engines in the ETCC. You could have a 2 litre Turbo or a 2.8 litre NA. I think it's something like that, a factor of 1.4 on a turbo gives you the NA capacity.
