G'day

Just thought I'd take some time to introduce myself to you all.

My Gavin, i'm Australian living in the UK. Been here for the last 4 years. Lived and worked in London until I'm moved up to the midlands where I worked for Prodrive for the last 3 years. Recently I was made redundant with the death of the Subaru World Rally Team.

I've kept most of my contacts and am now working from home, I do a bit of wheeling and dealing on parts, etc.

I have an E30 Touring which is currently off the road, looking to get it into a concourse winner in the future. It's a great little car!!

Hope to get to some events in the near future!

Cheers
Gav

Hi I get involved in all sorts really. I've deals with Performance friction on Brake Pads and Discs. Hankook for tyres (Race, Rally, track day, Road) Lico (Race and rally equipment, such as seats helmets race suits boots) still involved a bit with Prodrive and Subaru. AST Suspension. Working on a few other deals at the moment. Keeps me busy anyway!

Nice Hartge wheels. I love them, ask Cotty, I keep threatening to steal them.

Na, not really! Scooby engine even with a hairdrier doesn't sound any where near as sweet as BMW Straight 6..

The flat 4 burble from a Subaru just wouldn't sound right?

Cheers for the coments, lads. I love the way it looks on the Hartges... Think that's half the reason why i bought the BM in the first place. Oh and rear wheel drive!

Not sure if the boxer motor will fit between the suspension turrets without some serious work either.

Be good power to weight tho, the scooby engines are suppose to be pretty light and well distributed due to the layout. Would certainly make for an interesting project.

Having lifted many engines from Subarus in my time they aren't the lightest things out there.. Fitting one could be a problem, Without major changes. You'd probably end up having the engine hanging way out the front... Wouldn't be the best for weight distribution. Still if you could make it work it would be interesting.. as the flat 4 config would sit a lot lower in the car than the M20!

Welcome, the car looks well. 16" hartges are my favourite wheel that is remotely affordable.

Any chance you can get hold of some cheap ish 15" slicks. 200/ 580 r15 or would probably consider 190 as well. :)
