How many track days have you done in an E36 out of interest?

I've done Croft twice and the Ring once in a 320i. It was very far from boring. Very well balanced, loads of grip, stable under braking, lovely steering. The faster you go, the better they are. As Davenotouring will confirm, even a standard 316i on steels without the rear anti roll bar is fast around the ring.

An £800 325i moredoor with some better springs and dampers will keep up with a similarly modded 200 bhp E30 M3.
Why do you talk about the E36 325i 4 door here, as oppose to the coupe, out of interest?

Any e36 is an easy drive, JUST POINT AND GO. If you get wrong in a dirty6 then you should not be in control of any car at all. The e30 is loved so much as you actualy have to drive it and know what your doing.

lol i cant belive this one bit! having gone from an e30 325 to an e36 m3 evo i can tell you there not that easy to drive! ive never driven a 2.0 2.5 2.8 but belive me it aint just point and go in an evo! the e30 couldnt go fast enough to scare me but you try driving a m3 like you would a 325 and see what kind of posistions you end up in! :D
