A relative called me the other day and said that a friend of his had a 6 cylinder E36 for sale and would I be interested? When I arrived at the womans house in London ( about an hors drive away) , there on her driveway stood a 1998 S reg BMW 328i SE auto. She explained that she had bought herself a new car because occasionally when you pull away the car has a slight moment where the gearbox slips before it begins the car begins to move. The car has also just ran out of MOT and Tax and there is a large dent in the boot. It has done 106k miles with comprehensive BMW history file Taking a look inside it is quite a good spec car with dual zone climate control, 6 cd changer, light grey leather, trip computer etc. I drove the car around the block and the gearbox did have a little moment but it is was not all that bad at all. So i asked her how much she wanted for the car and she said £500.
"£500?" i said trying hard not to rip her hand off, for a car with no MOT / Tax and a dodgy gear box, I cant pay that

Then she said that music to my ears phrase " Well I really want it off my drive way because it is just in my way!" Calmly I looked her in the eye and said " ill tell you what why dont I take it away for you and give you £100" "DEAL" she said "but only if you take it now"
I took the car away immediately and drove the 70 miles home without mishap.
Question is do I sort the gearbox, get boot lid and get it MOTd and sell it for profit or do I use the engine for a conversion on my E30 and sell the rest of the car in bits???
What would you do?
