Now you see an additional 136bhp(over the old 400bhp v8 ) doesn't seem that great to me from a twin turbo :(

I'd be wanting 1.5 times the power if I was turbocharging a car I reckon, so 600bhp.

Likewise the new audi rs6 v10 twin turbo doesn't seem that powerful(572bhp). I bet MTM will see 1000bhp out of it with a few choice upgrades though.

600bhp should be easy from a twin turbo set up. I see another 150bhp ontop of the factory 100bhp from turbo'ing or supercharging a little 1300cc Swift GTi!

I suspect it will have monster torque.. Remember BMW want to play it as safe as poss.. They dont want to be replacing engines on warrenty left right and centre. I should imagine the engine has alot more potential than that

The current M5 has more then enough power, they should focus on reducing weight instead.

agreed. cars are so ludicrously fat these days. they keep giving them more power, but to get all this power down properly, they load it up with half of nasa's computer systems.

Heres a impressive stat....

The SSK Mercedes of the late 30's...they made 300bhp (a lot then)

but get this.....they put down 500 ft lbf of torque or 680nm 8O

...a modern M5 has 384 ft lbf or 520nm....

8O 8O 8O
