does anybody know where in the world i can source a non genuine window seal for an '85 635? it is the rubber running along the bottom of the front driver side window between the outside of the door and glass (to stop water running down in the door. we got quoted $600Aud for a geniune one. any ideas?

Are you sure they're quoting for the right part? I think it's part 3 here:

RealOEM

Which is listed as $18.

Sounds like they might be quoting for the trim panels or weatherstrip which are $100's

ok, we went to a bm workshop and they quoted us after inspecting the car. i will show dad that site (it's his car)

They'll have quoted you for a full doorseal. The part you want should be readily available fairly cheaply. If not, let me know. I have a few

Non genuine window seal isnt easy to get! I know that from some few friends who drive Alfas...
Think you need to go to your local BMW dealer and order them!
