This comment in another thread prompted me to creat this post:
datourer wrote:There's a lot of cr@p talked about the E36 here on the the zone, maybe your pictures will change a few minds. If I had the money I'd get one tomorrow!
The comment is not about my car, but I realised I have never introduced myself after a year of being a member I haven't posted much, but do often have a read. so I thought it was about time.

I am based near Worcester, currently I have 2 e30's (316 coupe and a 318 touring), but my main toy is my e36. The e30s are for daily use, whereas my e36 is for fun. Some may have seen if before, it was at Gayden (minus the wheels and a few mods) and at Santa pod (having just fitted the wheels and not got the stance right). Plus I also took the car to Donnington and got talking to a couple of guys who are members here.

All of the work I have done myself (bar fitting the short-shift kit), anyway heres some pics, not up to date, sadly, but essentially its how tyhe car looks now.

No idea what they fetch really, they just get whatever someone wants to pay at the time. After all most people wouldn't buy a flat green M3, not when there are better colours to be had, in fact I've been told once that its not an M3 because they didn't make them that colour.. So i would say that the market for them is limited, only people who know what they are would be interested and even then people don't want to pay a premium, they aren't CSL's.

Weapon. My old man had a Boston Green Evo with those Schnitzer (Type II?) splitties (also painted Boston Green 8) ) - looked quite similar to your chariot :thumb:

Liking the quasi-Schnitzer CLS II inspired colour scheme and stance (I generally prefer narrow-bodied E36s but the CLS I & II are nice):

shame you felt the need to be gangsta and fit angel eyes, and german plates, because I like the rest of the car.

im loving the schnitzer example dirty six.... the flaired arches are a tribute to the e30 m3... i would change the colour to estoril blue, techno violet or any silver...... shes still schnitzer...

^^ Its more than a tribute to the e30, those panels are kevlar, bar the cage its a race spec car, even got a Stack dash iirc. Amazing machine.

@ gBenM, its something I just had to do :)

Yeah it's a racer for the road (appropriate given Schnitzer's race pedigree). And you can spec the CLS in any colour you want - I've seen them in blue, silver, black and white (although one of tose was a replica if I recall). I personally like the orginal CLS colour scheme - prototype grey with balck rims and red trim. Complete uber wagon :thumb:

The blue one, if Estoril, is a kitted evo, not a real CLS, hence the rep idea. However, thats not what is pictured above, the car above is the CLS II, which is a different car altogether, as far as I know there is only one and it now lives in Japan.

I've been on here for over a year mate, I have gone through a couple of e30's lately, my daily driver is a 91 touring. Only just started to post though really.
