i bought a dogleg box of him for £300, he charged me £30 postage from scotland to bham,he said he will make a wooden box for it and send it to me as he worked with wood, i got it a week later wrapped in a black bag with all the little bits unsecure.
i got it fitted from e30 center for £120, then i found out it will not select any gears and it is stuck in 1st gear. so put my old box back in, thats another £120 wasted.
i called him and he said it was perfectly working in his car and he wrapped it in black bags to keep postage costs low,
then he said he will refund me but i will have to wait a few weeks until he gets the money together as he is having some financial problems. few weeks pass i text him and he replied "i dont understand, it was working fine in my car, and now after a month or 2 you are saying it is faulty and you want a refund, i am not buying a faulty box back, it could of got damaged in transit"
i checked the box and it did not have any scratches or marks on it, so it was not damaged in transit, i paid a gearbox specialist to look at it and he told me it looks like someone gave it a good wheel spin and jammed the gears and broke a fork inside it.
now the guy is not replying. looks like i will have to pay a visit to his yard
