didnt realise how mint the passenger side was , thinking of cutting a bit of cloth off my old seat back and stitching it over the rip on the drivers side, or just get a seat cover

Aye, passenger side is spotless, if i were you, id get hold of a decent seat cover, and just use it on the worn driver seat? could save you a bit of hassle!
