I sold Sean a the car for £850
Whilst selling I listened to the garbage that left his mouth for an hour, saying my car was a heap of rubbish and the price had to come down so we do.
10 minutes later I get a spiteful txt saying he drove away in a bargain and sorry to be a **** about the car.
Because I feel it's not in my interest to leave him positive feedback - I have my feedback abused saying I tried to rip him off by selling scrap:
http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/1151130
Please read my feedback and make your own decision

Would have been alot more spiteful if he sent you a text saying he was still not happy with the car and that he should have walked away when he had the chance.
Seems like he was just apologizing for being a little critical (you might be if you've travelled for a day to see something that was a little bit less than the car you had in mind) and saying he was happy enough with the dealing after all.
The price on donedeal seems fair enough to be honest as the car being a 1000 euro, you can spend about 2-300 bringing a car back from the UK, fitting a tank etc, vrt and time to do all the work and getting the car and people buying a car in Ireland generally think its common practice to be able to buy a car for 500 quid less than its advertised for anyway so that makes it about 1700 if you took the first offer you got

Barclay started a thread on me last night. The entire thing played out in it's entireity and he was revealed as being what he is.
Iain - HartgeH27 moved it to the quarantine and now Barx325i has started another one slating me.
In the interests of fairness this should be re-instated.
Why should my name be tarnished when Barclay has proven himself to be in the wrong.
People have a right to see this !

Mate, the entire thing played out last night. All of it.d6dph wrote:Sort this out by Pm gents. It's petty arguing and any more on-forum arguing will see you both get a 72hr ban to cool down
It was a bit messy but the truth came out.
Now it's been deleted and he's started making the same accusations. At the moment they're going unanswered because I don't want to go through the whole thing again..
As for a ban... you won't have to worry about that. If my reputation and integrity is allowed to suffer given that the information that vindicated me was all published on here and freely available only to be removed to allow him to start another hate campaign. Then I'll leave the zone.
Not exactly a big deal, I'm not a very active member. But there is no way I'm going to be made out to be something I'm not. When the truth was on display a few hours ago.
If it was your reputation on the line here I'm sure you'd feel pretty strongly about it too.
Regards
Seány

I feel the same. Both of us have suffered here.d6dph wrote:As said before, I have no issue with a feedback statement being made but I don't want the open forum being used to discuss it. it makes both of you look foolish tbh.
Then when it was all finished and put to bed I logged off for the night.
When I logged back on this morning it was deleted and Barclay has started another feedback thread about me flaming me and making the same accusations.
It's not fair. It's not equal, and I won't stand for it.
I really enjoy this forum, but I won't be a part of something where one person spends hours and hours clearing his name. Only for the thread to be deleted and the other person to be given free reign to start it all over again.
I really don't like arguing, but I will never ever ever leave this go. My reputation is at stake here.
That's the most valuable thing I have on here.

The bones of the issue are as follows:
I agreed a price with Barclay before I travelled of £950.
When I got to the car there was much more wrong with it than he had mentioned.
I negotiated a £100 discount. We both happily completed the deal and agreed to leave good feedback.
I took the car home and spent a weekend sorting it out. Then I advertised it for sale. I left Barclay good feedback and asked him to do the same, then he refused and started calling me names.
I couldn't for the life of me understand what was happening until last night... when he posted up a link to my ad.
Basically he's a sad petty loser. I bought the car, tidied it up and advertised it as a much better car (because of the remedial work I've done) and intend making a small profit. He can't stomach this.
But to further explain the "Profit" here's a breakdown of my costs:
Car £850
Train £99
Ferry £129
Petrol £52
VRT €560 (https://www.ros.ie/VRTEnquiryServlet/showCarCalculator)
New Fuel Tank £100
New ICV €50
Then the "advertised price" is €2250 which obviously I won't get. There's the 10% difference between the currencies to take into acount also.
Basically, Barclay saw the ad... forgot about the VRT and assumed I was going to make a huge stinking profit. He was bitter about this as I'd negotiated a £100 discount and He started making all these accusations. When the truth came out he had masses of egg on his face.
Now the thread where it all played out has been deleted. He's been given free reign to start all over again and make himself look like the good guy.
If there is any shred of justice on this forum PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Re-Instate that thread.

This thread has to either be locked or deleted. I'm not having a feedback thread about me where the opening comment is a malicious lie.
The entire issue played out last night only to be deleted. Seizing his chance, like a thief in the night Barclay has started another thread while no-one was looking.
Moderators, seeing as the original and correct thread was deleted, then this simply cannot stand.
There is no way that that's acceptable.

Oh jesus christ Barclay... I used the term "new" the sense that it was new to the car. i.e. it had been replaced. You pedantic asshole!
Moderators... can you see how much of a bitter loser this guy is?
The fact that he's spamming this thread now solely for pedantics and to gloat about him getting one over on me by starting this thread is surely grounds for its deletion.
How much more blatant can he be???!!!

Malcolm mate, I don't care if I get a ban. All this was discussed last night.daimlerman wrote:Please play according to the rules, gents, second warning.d6dph wrote:As said before, I have no issue with a feedback statement being made but I don't want the open forum being used to discuss it. it makes both of you look foolish tbh.
It's been deleted and now he's having a go at me. Goading me bcak into an argument.
This is truly unfair.
Why should I have to go through this....?
My name has already been cleared once.

that's funny Sean, You tried to tell the e30zone that we discussed this at the time of sale.
I've just realised this does pretty much rule that out seeing as you send this via PM
You really need to stop lying

Yes Barclay mate, I told you I had left you feedback and asked you t do the same for me. Just like we agreed. It's common courtesy to let someone know when you do these things.Barx325i wrote:da4x4turbo wrote:I've left you good feedback on here. Will you please do the same for me?

Mate you've given yourself away. Twice. In public.
Anyone who's had anything to say on either of the threads has basically told you you haven't a leg to stand on. Yet you still persist.
You tried to wrong me. I didn't let it happen. You then thought that I might make money and hence you felt wronged. You got bitter. You refused to leave feedback having previously agreed to do it. I let the zone know what happened.
End Of Story.
At this point all I can hear from you is:

Yeah I agree. This is desperately unfair.magpie wrote: can we have that thread back please
He started a feedback thread about me. Then the entire argument played out in public. It was put to bed.
Then it gets deleted and he starts another one. With the added benefit of knowing what he needs to sharpen up on as he knows what he got caught out on in the previous thread.
Why has he gotten the opportunity fo flame me twice moderators? Was one thread not enough?
