paid for some M30 mounts off the guy on monday 24th july, informing him that i needed them asap because i had a customers car in the garage.

Then he tells me that he will send the out by tuesday or wednesday at a push,so i thought i will have them by the weekend.

Then he pm'd informing me that his mate has made another bach up and that he will be collecting them form his mates on wednesday evening and will be posting them out on thursday morning, and that if i wanted them ASAP i should pay an extra £10 for SAME DAY/NEXT DAY delivery!

As i wanted these ASAP i had no choice but to pay the extra £10 even though he should of posted them out on monday or tuesday.

ITS NOW SATURDAY,AFTER 2 PMS,NO F*CKING REPLY,NO F*CKING MOUNTS!

i am extremely pissed off, because of this prick a customers car will be in my garage alot longer, and now i have to source engine mounts from another zoner/company!

TOTAL TIMEWASTER!

you booked a car into your garage, needing parts from a private dealing chappie (not a business who carries a large stock) and it's taken under a week so far... hardly an unreasonable timeframe but shows pretty poor planning on your part imho.

i guess beefy has a job during the day, gets them made my a mate and has to collect them, pack them etc during the evenings, try and post them durning lunchbreaks.

if someone paid me for something during a working day, they certainly would not be posted that day as i'd be working! Next day, maybe. IF i had them at mine, ready to go and IF i could get an extended lunch break to get to the post office.

why would you not get the mounts sorted in advance? If you're M30ing a E30, the need for mounts could hardly have been a suprise?

listen who are you to judge about my poor planning you prick, things would of went to plan if beefy had sent the mounts when he said he was going to send them,i respect that he has a full time day job like most of us,but if you say you are going to do something you should stick to your word.

if you read my comments rather than sticking up for your mate then maybe you would know what your talking about!

so how about you stop chatting shit in other peoples threads when you dont need to mate, this is a NEGATIVE feedback thread which i opened, not for you to discuss or stick up for you mate.

@ Shaz

sorry dude but calling another zoner a prick is in breach of the rules.

formal warning issued for poor conduct, please keep it OFF the forum.

as for this thread, Negative feedback is fine, but make it personal and statrt throwing insults and it will be sin-binned OK.

charming 8O

i can only imagine what your customer service is like if this is how you deal with people you've never even met!

actually, i've never (to my knowledge) met beefy, nor realy spoken to him on this forum so i am in no way 'sticking up for my mate'. it just seems to me that you're blowing your stack at a bloke rather hastily for a problem that you could have easily prevented with even the smallest level of prior planning.

surely getting this swap to do at your garage and needing the engine mounts for it were no suprise to you?

Have to agree with gareth tbh
Why not source the parts BEFORE getting the car in instead of leaving it ill the last minute ?
Have you pm`d beefy also , He seems to have stayed in contact and am not saying he is in he right making you wait a week for you bits either .
Also slagging other zoners off wont do you any favours as i probably wouldnt deal with you after reading your comments and others probably wouldnt either

a week isnt a long time but i can understand you being p1ssed off if you were relying on it for a certain date.
i had a similar problem when sending out my fuel pump the other week. i promised that id send it by wednesday at the latest and made the mistake of trusting it to my missus to post whilst i was at work. id forgotten about it and didnt realise until i borrowed her car the following monday and seen it still sitting in her car. she'd forgotten to tell me she hadnt sent it.
i sent it myself the next morning on next day delivery but the buyer still got it a week later than the original date. fortunately he was a bit more understanding and didnt complain. :D

Parts should be delivered within the agreed timescale.
If he took an extra tenner from you to gaurantee delivery then even more so

all my work is carried out by shaz and his work is second to none
i understand why he's pissed off if the parts shoulda been delievered in that timescale and they werent he has every right to complain
and as for poor planning i doubt it very much, i've never had any problems with shaz's planning, he gives me a time and my car is done by the time, he never messed me about which is why i always take ma car to him.
i back shaz on this one because i know him firsthand and not just as a zoner, hes an honest geezer who has a genuine passion for e30z

What puzzles me is why you felt the need to dig-up a 3 month old thread?
Surely this has been resolved by now :?

i didnt, i was looking through shaz's build threads, and came across this while i was there, nothing puzzling about that.
and the age of this thread is irrelevant.
