The adhesion process is crucial i have had probs in the past where after time paint begins to peel just with washing due to the plastic adhesion promoter not doing the bizz.

wouldnt it be better to clean with a spirit based cleaner that wont leave a soapy film over it? rub with wire wool to give a rough key for the paint to stick better to.
