I always wanted to discuss about this problem. We can all agree that black cars look stunning but when talking about washing and keeping them clean than most of owners get a headache :-x
My story begins a year ago when I drove my beauty to the repair shop to fix the damage I made on her and to repaint a whole car. After a month I've got a mint car like a new one. First I must admit that I am getting sick when I see even a smallest scratch on her and my parents thinks I am getting nuts  (joke)
Bird drops are not a problem any more since the car is garaged during the day, but swirl marks and holograms are awfull thing
I am giving my best when washing, using microfiber products, all gentle stuff but those fine scratches are still there...looks like they can't be defeated.
I can wash my car at touchless car washes but that is shit to be honest, I can't clean it perfectly and when washed in there look like a cheap car, no glow in paint, no shine...so I do this job by myself.
I wanted to hear your advices, thoughts about this problem and how do you live with that...
love this colour, it's my favourite but I am seriously thinking of something lighter on my next BMW
P.S sorry on my bad english

What polish are you using?

I use a trade product called Farecla Wax Top Polish. It gets rid off all the swirls that you get.

Also, clay the car every now and then to make sure you're not getting contaminants stuck to the paint, as when you polish/wax the car, you'll then be sealing them into the paint.

If it's really bad you could try buffing using something like Farecla G10. This is designed to treat surface defects such as swirls.

Have a look on ebay for FARECLA, but there's lots of products out there. I use Farecla as i've been using it for ages.

wanted to ask this:
Is really necessary to polish mettalic paint? I mean fresh one, not 10 years old, if it's regulary cleaned and washed?

BTW this Farecla black top is awesome thing, it removes all swirls without any marks etc
For bad ones, I use Scholl profi G17 compound before black top
