should I t cut before claying?

Finally got myself a claybar today.Only got the meguiars starter kit to see how I get on with it.
As the boot lid is probably my worst surface I had a go at it today.
Washed it off with fairy liquid first.
Then gave it a good claying.This did remove a bit of crap.
Then gave it a good wax.
I can definately feel the difference on the paint but the light was starting to fade so couldn't realy see the level of difference in shine to the other panels.However before claying I could see discolouration or maybe even ingrained staines on the paint.This I can still see.Should I start again and use some sort of T cut product on it first? If so, what products do you pro's out there recommend?
Until Santa gets his arse in gear with a machine mop I will be doing it all with blood sweat and tears.
If all goes to plan and I manage to get to the pod I want my novice hands to have done the best they can.

Hubble,

Im in need of your help and advice please.....

After having cleaned my car:

Fairly liquid
Clayed (Megiaurs kit)
Cleaner Wax (Megiuars)
Polish (Deep crystal Megs)
Gold Class wax (Megiuars)

I found that most of the car was shinig, butthe bonnet and some areas werent as smooth as your sig pic(btw obv my car isnt as good as yours) but i dont have any rust and what not....it looks like clouds inside the paint...if you knowwhat i mean

It shines nad what not....but seems liek theres a cloud over my bonnet, whereaso n theroof....doors wings it looks like a mirror, any advice>?

It may be you have more contamination on the bonnet. Did you examine the paintwork prior before waxing??
Without seeing the bonnet it's difficult to say, but I don't think it's a product issue as you mentioned the other panels came up well.

Can you post any close up pics of the bonnet.

If the paintwork is contaminated your going to need a more stronger cutting polish to get correct it.
