rocker cover painting

ive just had my m20 rocker cover glass grit blasted and was planning on having it powder coated however the bloke said it would be better just to aerosol it due to the powder gettig under the baffle plate ,is this right cos i would preffer it powder coated because i think it would last better, also my car is alpine white so i was thinking of having it done white but im not sure whever it would look crap and get dirty, would the normal black be better?

Just get some high temp pait in black an polish it, its very strait forward, possible best to really make sure it is sanded very smooth if your after a better finish, powder coating is a bit of a waste for the rocker cover unless it is gunna be a show car (just an opinion). As for the white they can look good but i imagine high maintenence with keeping clean, there was a bloke in the pic sections i think who had one on his car??? but i think the black an silver is a nice contrast to the white.

Hi Bodger.

Frosts is the place to get the high-temp black paint. They do the original crackle finish paint in aerosols too!

Just rang them too - they say it's ok for cam covers temperature wise..
