BBS starting to bubble

Is there anything I can do? I can't find a wheel refurbisher out here and anyway, have my money tied up elsewhere. Could I sand them down myself and spray them, until I have the money to refurbish or replace? Any ideas gratefully received.

Mine originally came with 2 silver and 2 white wheels.
Sanded and repainted the silvers as I preferred the contrast against the black paintwork.

Sand them down,
couple coats of primer
3 or so coats of paint (wheel silver spray is available from dealers)
Couple of coats of lacquer

Still looking good a few months later! Actually put the originaly white ones to shame

You'll need to pull the balancing weights so get them rebalanced when cured.

ive got 15" bbs' i noticed alot of people mentioning nogaro,is this the darker grey colour i somtimes see on bbs'.is this a bmw colour and would it look right on my standard 15s with a polished lip also or would i be better sticking to silver allover,l my car is white

You don't want anything too rough.

Maybe 1200 wet and dry then primer.

thats how i did mine except i used plain old spray paint in my desired colour from halfords.

I used 400 grit wet and dry before primer, 600 before paint.

1200 g is to smooth imo, the surface needs a good key for the primer to stick

With 400 and 600 I would of thought you would see sanding marks after...

what about 400/600 to start with so the primer gets a good base then 1400 after priming????

400 should be fine.

make sure u use tack cloth before laying paint or primer, u can buy it from halfords. wipe it on the surface ur gonna paint and it will pull all the dust and crap that'll stop the primer and paint sticking to the wheels
