I pushed it back on, but it looks like it's going to spring off again. There is a small amount of rust beneath too, but that is another thing, and was not the cause. Any ideas how to get the bloody thing to stay in place would be appreciated.

I took the old gal (touring..lol) for a jet wash yesterday. Proudly drove her home and then noticed that the guttering midway along the roof, leading down to the front, near the wing mirror, had sprung off and was sticking out/hanging off!
I pushed it back on, but it looks like it's going to spring off again. There is a small amount of rust beneath too, but that is another thing, and was not the cause. Any ideas how to get the bloody thing to stay in place would be appreciated.

Just pinch it with a pair of pliers to make it a tighter fit.
Could always put a dot of silicon or similar behind it too
