My touring has a rust bubble about and inch across on the black sill, and a few nasty stone chips on her bonnet.
I have bought the sandpapers in various grades, and some primer, and am preparing myself to embark on dealing with it. I realize it will only be a temporary fix, but if it lasts a couple of years until finances allow, I can deal with it properly then.
I'm having trouble bringing myself to put the sandpaper to the paintwork, as I can't get the colour green mixed and put in a spay-can here; they can do it in the UK, but won't send here.
Can anyone tell me the best way to go about sanding down and getting a good finish on this problem area? It's been a while since I've done it.
Cheers,
Rust! :(

Nick, that's a good idea.
I will see if I can work something out with the paint guys first. A lot of companies won't send paint abroad though. I've been quoted 10 quid for a can of green to be mixed and put in a spray can. I thought it was a good price.
