Well, someone before me had tried to paint the rear valence of my IS White and well, it looked shit. So I got the bits and pieces and had a shot.

Before, really not a good look...

Couple of coats of primer... (check out the ladies on the paper, its the sex adds from the cypriot paper I buy, as in, thats why I buy it)

Looking good...

i'm not sure if its the pic (my pc resizes them to fit the screen), but the line don't look straight....

a tip is to use fine line masking tape....it's expensive (compared to masking tape..the one i use if £5 per 1/2m i thnk) .....but gives a perfect straight/crisp line....

apart from that...it looks good, and makes a big difference to the car!

It definately looks better with the black stripe instead of all white!

It's a bit of all-white that :) What paints did you use?

I think the reason is doesn't look straight is cause the valence isn't straight! You need to have a very good eye to see it but there is a slight belly in it! There was also a couple of bits where the bloody masking tape ripped some of the white paint off! I don't know if it's because I got the wron tape or because the paint before was so shit...

I have no idea what kind of paints it was, just got them mixed at a local paint shop. The colour is a matt black, it shows up the sills now so I have to do them aswell.

tech 2 rear bumper would have been a better fix to that problem  but otherwise good to see zoners having a go with the spray can!

Also i do like your choice of masking paper, shame about the heart!! winkeye

To be honest, the guy in the paint shop convinced me to buy the primer as well as the matt black... I think I could have got away with a simple rub down followed with a can of Matt black Hammerite! That stuff is awesome and i've seen it work very well on a full respray!
