My rubber rear spoiler is in a bit of a nick, it's been painted and is starting to peal off. It looks like it's been covered in filler and ten painted or something.

Anyway, if I can get it back to rubber, how do you paint it properly? The colour is Alpine White 2

Cheers

not the easyest thing to do mate you can use plastic primer on it before you paint it but rubber usualy starts flaking off/and cracking

halfords/most car accesory shop do plastic primer in cans or go to a paint shop and ask for it

some paint shops do an adative for paint that ruberises it to stop it cracking not sure how much tho

I've just done my rubber spoiler today.

I had a look for some primer to do the job but couldn't find anything, Halfrauds plastic primer is only for plastic or fibreglass.
I ruffed up the surface of the spoiler then applied the primer (2 or 3 coats), then flatted it back and finally applied colour coat and flatted again then applied a coat of laquer.

It seems to be ok but i'll let you know if it starts flaking.

Thanks for the offer Chris, but I'm penniless/Euroless right now and sure the post would be quite a bit to France. Will have one from you in the future though, if you have them often that is. :D
