Hey there, long time no post, which is a good thing as nothing has gone wrong.
I'll make it quick - the black area along the bottom of my 318i - what kind of paint do I need to get to touch this up?

I touch mine up with Smoothrite brush on and it comes out ok if a bit shiny for a couple of days.

Gone but not forgotten.

The original black paint has a rough finish though......if that's sanded down won't the area then be flat if you use satin black

I've always used underseal to black up at the very bottom.. Offers more protection but not the best stuff to be using.

Its difficult to replicate the original finish in patches. As Chris W says a Shulz anti chip built up in that area to level it off then recaot the hole panel to blend it in. Then just Satin Black it.
I used the Satin Black from Halfords in the blig cans. It's as close to original that I've found.
