I didn't tighten the lid properly on a 'Jerry can of diesel' in my Golf and the liner 'pen and inks'.
Any magically cures its worse than milk!.
At least its not one of my BM's.

Put a dead herring/old kippers in the boot to mask the smell

i've never heard of much tat succesfully removes the smell of diesel oil

At least the back end won't rot !!
for a while.
Only thing i can think of that i used to remove diesel was "jizer" . Its good stuff but you need to wash it off with water.

Just spoke to a mate of mine who has a canal barge and i remember him spilling diesel on some carpets in his boat. He used this and said it actually worked , not sure how many £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£ it is but might be worth giving it a try.
