Could use a toothbrush if you want to make it difficult!!! (or if the jetwash won't do it!) Might scratch the paint though!!

Flash mould and mildew remover, then jetwash.

The car is fine, but the gutter rails are still as bad !
Womdering how much damage to the paint any mr muscle products would do, jet was is a great idea but some of the laquer looks like it could lift, so don't want to go to hard.....

You're absolutely right, if there's any sign of broken paint or laquer don't even bother with the jet washer, it will only get worse. The only thing I can think of is using some kind of algea/moss killer type stuff?
I take it you got the pictures of my Golf when I dug it out? That was done with just lots and lots of warmy soapy water and hard graft. Get one of those sponges that is in a net bag, usually sold as a 'bug remover', that will help without resorting to really nasty gear that could make matters a lot worse.
For those that are wondering, I went from this:

There was a whole lot of swearing involved!
Given it some love and attention last weekend......
Jif or Cif if your more european, then hose down with normal, non pressure jet and seems to have done the trick. Got some Mur polish in after on a microfibre cloth and looks pretty good now.
Next job as recommended by Shineon ...lots of love and attention and spends for materials, but, needs must .
Will continue the saga after some elbow grease....
