Un-coated split rim cleaning

What do people recommend for cleaning un-lacquered split rims? (ie nothing agressive that contains acid!)
Something spray-on would be ideal
What about brushes/tools for cleaning between the spokes as well, as mine are bbs style.

i use very very weak solution of traffic film remover

does not mark at all just lifts dirt gently

and then dry them thoroughly as water will leave marks
