Swiss vax or muguires

I have had my 325 recently resprayed in piano black as part of an overall restoration, I am feeling fairly protective of the paint job and I have been using maguires gold wax up to now (2 coats) so I decided to look for something better.Swissvax I looked at but the price of their wax is to say the least is pricey so, how much is their wax going to improve my new paintwork compared to meguires.Entry level £65 for swissvax up to an eye-watering £2100 for 400 ml's of shine.How much shine can you get for that money compared to dodo juice or the best that maguires can offer especially for something that has been just resprayed.

These expensive boutique waxes don't offer much in the way of protection, it's more bling. But something like vics red will also be outstanding on a black car for a fraction of the cost
If you want to protect your nice new paint job, I'd look into protecting it with a synthetic sealant. Wolfs hard body would be my choice

Best of both worlds would be to polish to the finish you require, then use a sealant to seal the finish and protect it, then top up with wax for further protection and to increase the shine.
It all depends on what you want. I am a Pro Detailer and run AMK Detailing, I have various waxes and sealants, what I use on a car depends on what the customer wants. Collinite 476 wax is probably the best all rounder, good protection and a good finish too.
I am a Car Skin approved detailer and their products are fantastic, for finishing their Deep Clean paint prep and CS12 Paint sealant is amazing, guaranteed 12months protection and looks stunning, you can also top up with CS Pro too. It is best applied by a pro but can be done yourself.

You do not need a wax on top of a sealant. Most sealants out last waxes by months and a wax will not add any further shine

A good Quality Carnauba Wax can make a difference on top of a synthetic sealant, plus it adds more protection, but you can only see the difference until bright sunlight or under spotlights.
Plus it all depends on the chosen sealant or Wax too, plus how long its left to cure.
Autoglym Liquid Hard Wax can last between a few months up to almost 12 months purely based on how well it is applied and its cure time (typically 30-60mins) and is cheap. Ceramic or Quartz sealants take much less cure time and last for longer but cost more

When someone books a Detail with me and I use the Car Skin Products I can guarantee 12months protection by using the CS12 Sealant without CS Pro, or a wax on top (provided it is handwashed with a PH neutral shampoo) however you can see a difference if I then apply CS Pro and a good quality Carnauba Paste or Hard Wax on top.
It is pretty much all down to personal choice at the end of the day.

I used to go down the old route of glaze then wax on top but for all the effort required I don't think the results are really worth it. I get better results with g techniq stuff with less effort. Modern synthetic sealants ftw.

a good sealant should be layered to ensure 100% coverage and products like the G teq stuff will last over 12 months with proper maintenance. and they do not recommend anything else be layered on top. feed back from the guys who use it also say there is nothing to be gained by adding wax
for G teq to work, the pain needs to be as good as possible and free from any contaminants. if you have any polish or glaze traces it will not bond properly
personally i'm still a glaze & wax man but i'm working more with sealants on certain cars that i do purely because its more durable and easier to maintain and resistant to poor wash techniques. for my own cars it comes down to personal preference, for paying customers they go with my recommendation based on how they will maintain it.
