I remember you said about not adding conditioner when washing the microfibre cloths in the washing machine but how often should they be washed ie

After washing your car
after a few washes
depends on how dirty the car was

i tend to wash mine after every wash of the car, but my car can get quite dirty between washes so i'm not sure

but as you say...NO conditioner

what temp/wash type is safe for these cloths/applicator pads? I tried 40deg (without detergent) and absolutley none of the residue came out

hi all

ok you can use washing powder no problems

its the fabric conditioner that you cant use

i have washed on 40 and 50 degrees

there are some marks that dont come out.
eg when i polish my rims then you get a lot of black residue and tho the residue comes off a stain remains
thats no problem as i use that applicator for that job next time and so on

i was mine after every use .its up to you really but even tho say a plush looks clean it can still be full of wax residue which means towel will become less efeective

i also like to know they are clean.ie no contaminants etc before i use ..........................but iam sad!!!

the crazy thing is the higher the level of finish you achieve on your car the more noticeable a slight mark becomes and therefore you become more guarded over creating anymore

ahh ok! yes i want to keep my cloths nice and clean so they are as effective as possible. i washed and polished a friends car today and they were very impressed by the drying cloth and polishing cloth.

Guys,

I work for a company that sells these micro fibre cloths to the cleaning industry and large cooperation's, Inc the NHS where there used to combat MRSA amongst other nastiness, anyway we recommend washing at 90 degrees for full thermal disinfection.

I guess that would also get your wax particles out as well.

Fabric conditioner isn't recommended as it "lubricates" the little loops of fabric which stops them picking up so well.

Just thought that might be of interest!

in the hotel I work in we use them for polishing cutlery/glass etc and they get washed at 50c (no softner) but then again we are just polishing stuff thats already clean
