Will be getting my car back in the next couple of weeks so need to deal with the ongoing problem of bird and tree crap.

Going to put lashings of wax on it - not sure if Mer is any good but also am going to get a car cover - tried to buy the garage near where I am as the owner is selling their flat but they don't want to split.

Search isn't working on here this morning for me for whatever reason and know that there have been some reviews on car covers before but has anyone got any recommendations? The car gets quite a bit of use so I'm after something that will be easy to get on and off and store.

Anyone had any experience of the Lightweight breathable outdoor cover from Classic additions?

When you say getting the car back, I assume it's not from fresh paint, it's not recommended to cover a freshly paint car.

If it's not fresh paint I would recommend one of these, not cheap but good.

painters have always told me...to AVOID putting wax or polish etc on fresh paint for at least a couple of months to let it properly cure and settle

what ive thought before, is for parking here, maybe a long cover that just goes from front to rear with bunjee type clips on each end, that just goes over bonnet, roof, windows, rather than the whole car, for quick on /off action, not a "storage cover" but more a "keep it clean" type cover you just put in boot, drive, and and back on easily

Thanks all for the advice still reading the links - I'm a bit f*cked maybe.

If I don't cover it then the birds and the tree sap will ruin it, if I do then the softness in the paint will ruin it...

The stormforce one seems to stand out - not sure I can afford a Noah one. Given my circumstance is there any value in going for a lightweight one for now - would the lack of weight avoid some of the potential issues from the weight of the cover on the new paint?

fresh paint needs sun and air to fully cure, leave if out in the elements for a month, then give it a full propper wash, clay bar, polish and wax, then cover it when not in use

Thanks for the advice - I'm a little concerned about the bird crap where I live though - don't really want to leave it on the street.
