I have an E30 1991 325 Cabbie, and I have to replace the exhaust rear and double barrel. I want something that suits the car but at the same time looks a bit shiney and new. Does not have to be chrome. Also trying to keep the budget down. Any advice links or pics?

normally a few aftermarket ones for sale, check out the forsale section and post in wanted and the parts may come to you.

Scorpion are a popular choice, i have a a Longlife custom stainless system, sportex are a cheap aftermarket exhaust option, half decent warranty and never heard any complaints about their offerings.

Looks like a copy of the Scorpion Le Mans pipe to me.

What about a pattern part standard back box with new pipes added on?

You'll get a new standard one for approx £50 from ebay, if there are any custom exhaust places close by ask them, to cut off the tail pipes and weld on some stainless shiny ones.

Have been quoted £40 for that work by a guy local to me. looks the part but without being noisy.

Problem being most standard exhausts are mild steel and trying to weld stainless Steel to it is an issue.

Better off getting an aftermarket one, or buy a replacement and get a couple of chrome tips to bolt on over the top. I can get a new Rear Box for mine E30 for about £30.00 and a chrome tip for about £5.00 (mine is only a 316i) maybe about £45-£50 for the box and £10.00 for tips on a 320/325.
