What brush to use to clean ur Alpinas??

I have had enough of using a sponge to do it, i always tend to miss bits!
gonna get a brush!
thinking of getting this one

its a meguiars one!

to clean them i use the meguiars wheel spray, which by the way is the mutts nuts!
Just find it annoying when you drive off and find a bit of dirt!


Or has anyone else wit alpinas got any useful tips?

With alpinas i only have reps but they arepretty similar
i use two things a sponge and a washing up glass brush as this gets right in all the nooks and cranies
But my mate uses a wheel brush from the Puond store bloody good

any wheel brush will do, although check it isn't too harsh. I let the missus do the wheels as she always moans at me for doing half a job, so she gets the privilege of being wheel scrubber now

i use a sponge but i cut it up into smaller pieces this is the best way i have found, use your finger on the harder bits

little and often for want of a better saying on these wheels is the key!

i've had alpinas on my cars for nearly 3 years and they are hard work, but no where near as bad as BBS, but my bbs are hammerite black now lol

I ordered this brush a couple of days ago, it arrived today, so had to try it out, and im very impressed! It cleans the alpinas easy, what makes it ever easier is if you keep a good coat of polish on the wheels. Top product!

From Nelsons, i use Beez Neez anti static polish then with a soft cloth wrapped round 2 fingers attack the brake dust,

takes time but well worth it!!

I sugest a colgate toothbrush,cheap,easy to use & if it will get the crap out of your teeth im sure the alpinas will come up sparkly.

is sparkly a real word?

i used to use a tooth brush and the bristles ended up straching them! thats why the sponge idea came about, which i find is faster too

has anyone else here got the 16" reps? (not BK ones... can't remember the make!)

i have, these are a lot more angular and hold brake dust like a good un! after a week i actually have built up lumps between the spoked. there's grit and bits of pad and disk in there! a right mare to remove.

it has taken up to 15mins per wheel! also, the wheels are getting scratched which is a shame as they're freshly refurbished in anthracite, by lepsons!

16 inch genuine are the same, your obviously hard on the brakes! as i have not had this problem in 3 years of pina ownership!

could be. i regularly totally cook my mintex m1144's to a burning stench! my ate power disks are usually blue too!

if it gets wet, you can see the bits of disk in the dust going rusty!
