ive been asked by a few about metal polish and what i would recommend

well i have tried a lot and i mean about 30 different and they are the ones i can remember

iam looking for a perfect finish and i dont want any surface marks or scratches and mirror finish and 99 % of metal polish out there is not good when looking for a mirror finish

yes they will remove oxadisation and surface rust etc but they are made so abrasive they fail to finely polish

so i found a quite new product from an old manufacturer when i was in the states and it is amazing

its made by MOTHERS and is called BILLET

it can be bought here but is quite dear tho if you want perfection it is the one without doubt.its only about 6 dollars across the pond!!!

heres what i looks like when applied .make sure you only use good microfibre to apply and take off as polished aluminium or chrome is totally unforgiving and will show the slightest abrasion mark.

Looks very nice! Good finish.

I've recently tried the Meguires NTX metal polish - smells really bad but seems to do and excellent mirror finish on the chrome trim parts I've used it on.

Yeah i've been using the Maguires polish as well and it is very good in my eyes, but i'll give this new one a go and see which one is better. winkeye

Yes, Mothers metal polishes are the b*llox !. I bought a harley many years ago and the seller gave me all his cleaning stuff, within was a tin of mothers ,it soon got pressed into service minting up the bbs splits i had on a evo 2 at the time ! (they weren't as shiny as Jons though ! :cry: )

how about for an exzaust i got a powerflow fitted within the last two months stainless stell but when its gettin used its slowly goin black der i know the inside does but i want to clean the outside i have been told about some sort of acid not to sure about that one does anyone use metal polish to keep theirs clean if so any recomondations plase.

i had a look at your link what a top site explaines all you need to know theres heat polishes and everything ordered my polish 2nd class recorded delivery just gonna have sore back lyin on back from next sunday with a sore right arm ha ha under the car of corse. nice one fella
