best stuff for white me

hi everyone

i want too do a complete detail of my car i have read the post about the clay bar so i will get one then whats the best next steps to take through the cleaning process and where to get a claybar halfords only do meguairs. Also what does p21 do? how do you wash your car jon ?

ok but you may well think im twisted
bear in mind iam working with macau blue which mayaswell be black and therefore it shows every single imperfection ie every light laquer blemish,swirl marks,micro marring etc etc
so i have to be extremely careful what products i use and what i use as cloths etc for washing drying product application and removal because if i use say sponges or chamois leathers i will put in as many marks as i take out

iam looking for perfection all the time with my surfaces so please bear that in mind before you all have me sectioned under mental health act!!!!!

white in my eyes is a funny colour
the major upside of white is that it shows very very little surface damage
ie swirls,light scratches etc
imho it is the easiest colour to get looking very very sharp
tho its downside is that due to its lack of depth if compared with say a black or dark red etc means you will never really get as much of a wet look as you would with previously mentioned colours.

my opinion is for a white car to look really sharp then you have to take care of all the little details and it makes the car stand out ie glass spotless nice not tacky even tyre dressing and any black trim treated carefully say grills round headlights,rubbers round doors and rear quarters
this makes a greater contrast to the white and in turn nakes your panels look sharper

i guess what iam saying is for a white car it needs to be a compltete detail to give the wow to the paint if that makes sense

so
p21s paint cleanser is really good
followed by p21s wax
apply with microfibre and remove with it

but for me id use zaino
really really durable in imho the best shine out there
its dearer and more labour intensive but the results are incredible
and the more layers you put on the better it gets

here is my last sport which was done with zaino



it was very very dull that day but see how imho the black when treated right sharpens the paint
for white it had a nice gloss

when i wash a car i use two buckets of water
one with soaped water one without
as i wash panel i rinse in the water and then reapply the soap water as to not put all the crap back into my waater

i use a microfibre mitt to wash
i then use a flymo garden vac turned on reverse so it blows and blow all excess water off car
the less i can touch car the less i risk marking laquer
i then get all water out of crevices and shuts

i then give it final wipe with microfibre waffle weave to get any last bits of water

meguiars clay is ok
but zymol clay and zaino clay are better imho

once car is dry i will then start to apply which ever product i need
this depends on what my objective was
whether it was a full blown detail or topping off with more zaino etc etc

simon on this board has a white m3
i did a small corner of his bonnet with some zaino cleanser and he will tell you the difference was really noticeable as white will grey and yellow and until you have a fully prepped panel you dont realise how bad it gets

would it help if i went through it step by step with what i use or with the p21s??

hi mate,theres no denying ,your car looks top class, id be happy if mine looked half as good! ive also got a white car,albeit a touring with the same kit, how long do you spend each time you clean yours? and how often do you clean it?
