Thanks very much to c76jon who suggested we have a forum section on maintaining, caring for, and detailing your E30.

After a unanimous vote from the site team we are pleased to announce the opening of this section.

Enjoy!

Okay, to clarify... this isn't designed for links or recommendations for spray shops. If you have a link then you can submit it in the links section at the top of all E30zone pages.

This section is to ask questions about how to wash, polish, wax, and detail your car. You can discuss products, methods, tips and tricks here.

Believe it or not, there is a LOT more to getting a nice shiny car than simply washing it with a sponge and soapy water and going over it with some Autoglym once in a while!!!

Great section Jon, I shall watch avidy :thumb:

The thing that pis*es me off most is whereever I park my car, it seams like a magnet for idots opening doors etc into it or kids and their bikes!

Glad to see you use autoglym Adam

I think you should think about making Jon the mod for this section as it was his idea in the 1st place. He's also about the most knowledgeable fellow on here when it comes to polishes and stuff. Not to mention one of the most helpful. You ask him a question and he will take his time to reasearch and write you an essay in reply and that's the kind of qualities a mod needs in my eyes :D

C76jon certainly seems to know his stuff :D

dont know how much time i'll spend here though, as i'd not really figure the valeting side to be specific to e30's.

here's hoping it works well

Just wanted to say this is a great idea to have this section 8)
It's great that we have an expert in jon, I'll be here a lot to learn some tip's.
I do like cleaning my car and if I can't afford to spend money on her then I can always get cleaning, There's alway's a big selection of shampoo and polish in the boot (I think it's a girl thing like having lot's of bottles of hair shampoo and clutter).
When "Delphin's" cleaned up I feel better. She was so filthy before I washed her last I'd forgotten how nice a car she really does look.
