Found This Wheel Gel Test

He dosnt say what brush he used, but am thinking that if a Autoglym brush was used then more would of been removed.

I think its over priced tho, I can get 10L of Autosmart wheel cleaner for £16 and its far better than P21s. Infact used neat it will get rid of anything and is not harmful.

I have used P21s in the past, it's very good but very expensive, i'll stick to Bilberry.

I think your missing the point.

They are "safe" wheel cleaners (as safe as your going to get) and can be used on ALL alloys whereas as wheel cleaner and bilberry carnt.

I have 2 wheel gels, will do a similar test on my e30 alloys this saturday (got to clean the rear arches out properly) using wheel restore and diablo.

According to sue at autosmart they dont sell a specific wheel cleaner that is safe on "untreated" alloys, anodised or split rims. She advised me to use hazsafe (a shampoo) to clean them and even then to rinse well.

Bilberry is 13ph (out of 14) and dosnt drop much when diluted 5:1.

If you have split rims or bare alloy wheels then you want a wheel cleaner that is near ph7, which p21 is.

Hence why the test was intresting.

p21s green is very good, but the heavy duty red gel version is even better.

On the downside, it smells absolutely rank. Think really (and I mean REALLY) bad drains.
