Gliptone Matt Finish

Have read all the postings about reconditioning leather upholstery using the Gliptone system of products. Result was I bought a complete system for cleaning, recolouring, ie covering scuffs, scratches, etc. and then used the conditioning cream. It is a great product, my only complaint is that I would like my leather to have a matt look, as opposed to the more shiny finish that I keep getting. I condition the leather about every 3 months and the car is onlt used for odd weekends. Am I doing something wrong.

Not having used Gliptone I cant be postive, but think it will be one of two things.

Your using too much product, to often.

Its an oil based product and will give a gloss finish because of that.

I also use Gliptone in mine, no shine, just nice matt touch

or maybe in the past were conditioned with something greasy that hardly comes off now

Gliptone should leve a matt finish, I use this on customers cars, you need to first use the cleaner, I find a nail brush works well to scrub it in, apply the conditioner with a sponge applicator and then buff with a microfibre cloth, it should leave a nice matt finish that smells like new leather.
