Dyeing the parcel shelf

Going to be dyeing the parcel shelf tonight while I’m on the night shift and got myself some of this stuff, I’m a big fan of auto glym stuff so hopefully this wont let me down.

Just wondering if anyone can give me any tips to make sure everything goes nice and smoothly tonight seems like a fairly simple job so not to concerned but any tips on how the rear shelf comes out would be appreciated so I don’t have to sit there and figure it out first

I would suggest going over the parcel shelf with a soft - ish nylon brush to bring up the pile before spraying, between coats and when finished. I know they aren't exactly furry, but that's my hunch.

Spraying lightly a number of times is going to give a better result than a single saturation, I reckon.

I'll give that a go cheers for the info, if theres enough left over going to do my OE floor mats as well as there grey at the moment and everything else inside is black

Take the back seat out, take out the little plastic seatbelt guide things out, undo the seatbelt mountings under the seat base and pull the shelf gently upwards to relaease the one single clip which is bang in the centre of the shelf, thread the belts through the holes and your done, be careful not to snag the shelf on the headling material either side of it, also when you put it back in put some masking tape over the headling to stop and dye transfer to the white material.

Looks great I'll put some pics up if I remember didn't have enough to do the mats though
