Anyone had this treatment done to their cars? I did a search on it and only one posting came up in 2005 and it was basically the same question. They also have an interior Permagard treatment too. There's a place that does it 2 mins from me so wondered if it was worth getting everything waxoyl'd and permagarded up.

Actually as the same place is a bodyshop and I need some paint work done I may do it all at the same time.

It's just another system like supaguard etc, all of which make wildly over exagerated claims, you would do just as well to buy yourself some Zaino products and apply it yourself, don't waste your money. Waxoyl is always worth getting done, it is proven to protect against rust.

Pretty cool, although £95 to get the interior, exterior and engine-bay done whilst I have some paint work done to my car is a far better prospect than buying the stuff myself for £60 odd and then doing just the exterior.

That's pretty cheap for one of the over hyped sealant systems, most main dealers punt them out for £300 plus. I stand by what I said though, it will not meet the claims it states and after a few months it will look like it's never had anything kind of protection applied, for just over £100 you could buy a bottle of Zaino all in one, bottle of Z2, bottle of Z6 quick detailer, bottle of Z8 spray sealant, bottle of Z7 shampoo, ZFX flash cure and a bottle of 303 aerospace protectant for carpets and upholstery, if you're just using it on one car most of that will last you for years, the only things you will use on a regular basis are obviously the shampoo and the Z6 quick detailer, these products would form your maintainance system along with a wipe down with Z8 every few washes to keep the sealant layer topped up and the paintwork looking pristine. I use these products for a living and they consistentley out perform these dealer and bodyshop applied systems, with the correct maintentance, correctley applied, three layers of Z2, followed by the maintenance wash I mentioned above can last 6 months, I would also say most of the stuff dealers/bodyshops push is not correctley applied, more often than not it's applied to dirty paint which will shorten it's life considerably.

How does Zaino stack up against Meguiar's and Autoglym/Zymol etc?
I'm guessing they're better as you use them...

don't these supaguard / permaguard 'wonder' potions only cost the delers something like £25- £30, hence why they do everything they can to try and flog them on to you as the best thing ever for £200+

my mum bought a dealers ex demo car, they spent ages trying to sell her one of these treatments pointing out how much difference it would make to the appearance and future values of the car. they stopped bothering when i asked them why, as a demo car, they hadnt had it done when the car was new 6 months ago

save your money and buy a sensible collection of proper cleaning products.

I'm guessing they're better as you use them...

Zaino and Zymol are very different products, Zaino is a synthetic sealant, Zymol is a natural carnauba wax, neither is better than the other, however in my opinion Zaino offers as good a shine as any wax but with better durability and a fraction of the cost of a "boutique wax". I have nothing bad to say about autoglym or meguiars products, super resin polish is a good product, it does however offer very little in the way of protection, you really need to top it off with a wax or sealant of some kind, Meguiars also make some excellent products, I use last touch quick detailer, quite simlpy because it is one of the best quick detail products available, I also use some of their polishes. I don't tie myself to one brand, rather I prefer to use products which I feel deliver the best results.

Correct, when I worked for Renault we used to buy supaguard for £50, it was retailed at £300, what takes the p1ss more is that each sachet had enough in it to do 2 cars, effectiveley we were only paying £25 a go.
