I'm buying some cab seats, but apparently the cable in the passenger front is snapped or off.
Is this a common issue?
What needs doing to sort it in the worst scenario?

If the cable is snapped you need to replace the cable 
If you remove the seat back (2 screws at the bottom) it will be all be obvious.

It is quite straight forward - remove seat back cover and hinge covers and all pretty apparent. I used cables from a donor seat for mine
