Getting my M3 back today and although it is mint it does have some swirls going on since its not really been in use for almost a year.
I had my wife's Boxster detailed a couple of months ago and he did a fantastic job but I dont really want to shell another 300 quid when its cost best part of 2k in the last 8 weeks.
Ive seen some clay bars at Halfrauds but wouldnt know where to start, what the process is eg Wash, clay, blah blah blah.
Any ideas thanks
Chris

In my experience clay bars will not remove swirls, they will just pull any contaminates from your paint. You will be suprised just how much these bars do pick up.
Generally I think you should wash - dry - clay then start with the polishes..
I agree www.detailingworld.co.uk is the best place to start.
I would love to get my paint corrected but I just cant justify £300 myself at the moment.

Jonesy there is a guy near you that will correct for as little as £160, he did a great job of a 46 that looked like a bag of spanners but after it looked fantastic!!
Ill dig out his website!!
Ive just struck a deal, a guy is doing a detailing day on Sunday and says he will do my car Monday if he can have it in his showroom over the weekend!!!

He is really good value Rav, there are two guys near me that do it and one is Tony Spears (did my Boxster for 250 quid) and another guy and he wanted 800 quid to do the e30!!!
If you can get yours done for the same if not less than the 46 due to size you'll be on to a winner

im thinking on doing the same
i have mopped cars before with g3 always has good results, especially with red cars but have had no luck with my green e30
i have tried colour coded polish, waxs ect all improve it but its till far from good.
im thinking of claying ect
can you sugest products worth trying?
sorry for hijacking the thread!

The G3 is what I used to do but that wont do anything for swirls.....it will just make you paintwork shiny (obviousley after being polished)
