what is the best way to remove factory paint from an IS front lip spoiler? it is rigid plastic.

i used (i think??) 600 git wet and dry took around 3 hours to do till it was all removed, then went over with 1200 to smoothen it out

cool, thanks. i didnt know if nitromorse or similar would damage the plastic. ?

Not sure if you could have it shot blasted?
I spoke to a local shot blasting firm today and they only wanted £9 per wheel to shot blast them so if it is possible could be a cheap and easy solution.
I'm sure somebody on here knows whether or not it is possible to shotblast plastic or if I just being a moron!

i think rubbing it down with sandpaper is the way to go, im not really familiar with sand blasting so sorry cant really give my opinion on that

sandblasting destroys alloys so im pretty sure it will destroy plastic

i think thats more for industrial use fella. !! it might well take the paint of but it may also cause a reaction for when you re-spray it...bushwakka wrote:so what about nitromorse?
