hi just a quick q. with zionnerbar red. is it lacqered aswell?? its a 89. im just thinking of getting it compounded but iv heard ya cant if its lacqured as it would strip that off to. silly q i no but im no good wit paint :(

i think most modern paints have some form of laquering in them, a paint expert will be along shortly im sure but you should be able to ok without any problems

Probably not mate, 2k paint is usually used on not metalic colors, although it might have been painted using base and laquer, wot you should do is get a bit of compound on a rag an give the paint a good rub, if red come off its 2k, if not then its laquer!!
Compounding laquer shouldnt cause you any problems anyway dude, as long as you dont over-do it on the edges of the panel an you dont leave it on the for too long.(As in over night)
