What machine polisher?

Would like to get rid of a few nasty scratches on the 323i,especially the key mark down the passenger side ,wondered if anyone could recommend a polisher,have seen a few on Ebay but dont really know what i am looking at!

Dont want to buy the wrong thing and do it wrong.

Or is it best left alone or should i leave it to the experts?

The Porter cable polisher is the recommended one I've read about it on here.

Porter Cable seems to be the weapon of choice, but you'll end up with an outlay in excess of £250 by the time you have the polisher and the voltage converter etc.

If it is a one off thing, it may cost less to just have a bodyshop do it for you.

the orange 'silverline' ones on ebay are rated well, £40 including some mops and buffing pad etc.

Try here. Great bit of kit. The Porter unit requires a separate adapter I believe whereas the Megs is a straight through 240V

If your new to this sort of thing they'll be able to help.

Also your best bet is to get a scrap panel and practice your skills on that first before you take the machine to your car

the kestrel dual action polisher works just as well and is a bit cheaper
