Tried to bring back the shine today:

After bringing home the new e30 last weekend we have finally got round to giving it a proper clean for what seems to be the first time in a long time.

Spent 8 hours on it. Tar remover, Clay Bar, Paint Cleaner, Polish and then a couple of coats of wax but after all this hard work(sam has blisters on his fingers) I am not that impressed by the shine we have acheived.
Mostly used meguires products, but am now thinking whether I need to use some sort of T-cut to really get a decent shine on it, what do you think?

t-cuts good but not to be used excessively, it can damage the paint. imo the bonnet looks great but i cant zoom the pic for some reason. about to go do mine now.

I've spent about 8 hours today, just washing / drying and a bit of polishing - still got the waxing and all the glass to do, plus all the trim/black/chrome/wheels/soft-top. .


..........and then there's the interior to start....
