Its horrible stuff, gets bloody everywhere, covers you, the car, the ground, any cats or dogs in horrible goo.
Two main ways of using it:
Spray it on out of a big can with a hand held pump sprayer or using a compressor with a special nozzle. Works well but as I said gets everywhere and usually needs some diluting with some solvent to be sprayed- does have the advantage of being able to get into otherwise inaccessible nooks and crannies though.
Get a tin of 'waxoyl underbody seal' Its Half way between Shoe polish, tar and a normal paint. Again its bloody horrible to use but you do paint it on with a brush making it somewhat easier if your on a driveway.
With waxoyl always be aware that it never 'sets' so if you have to get under the car when its hot you will get it all over yourself all over again.
This was my experience with a landrover and a rangie anyway..........

It spray's a lot easier if you stick the tin in a bucket of hot water for about 15 minutes before you use it.
main problem with undersealing / waxoiling is the amount of prep you have to do first. it's hard work and as said bloody messy. but if it keeps the tin rot away for a while longer then worth it. got quoted about £200 to have a tvr chimera chassis cleaned and undersealed at a local garage. bargain i thought for all the hassle it is.
