I ordered a buffer/polisher, but I know I will need to be careful on the roof. What can be done with the roof. Should I respray it with a rattle can? I am not ready to go in for a full paint job. Thanks and the car is a 1987 325is.

As far as the rattle can, I was thinking clearcoat only. But maybe that is still a bad idea.
