There a couple of products that I use in place of trime detailer. One is Meguiars All seasons dressing which is really good for doing under bonnet stuff.
The other is Black wow, Expensive but you only use the smalles of amounts.

Well im not sure we are talking the same product but I too have found Meguiars interior detailers to be crap, worst of all is there quick protectant wipes, they left both my E30 and E60’s interiors an off grey white..
