No reason.
My Sport has been parked up ever since I'd bought the products and I had no E30 to use it on as I was tooling around in the T5 every day and the Sport wasnt back in the garage.
Now im in my 4door chariot and have a motor I could grace with the BMW Cleaning products, I thought it rude not to try it out.
So, as last weekend was gloriously sunny, me and the missus broke open the BMW stuff!
Suprised.
I was very impressed with the results the shampoo gave, as to be honest, I was expecting something allong the Turtlewax shampoo standards. What I got was probably more like a very good Autoglym job!
Acid Test.
I always test wheel cleaners on my hand before I put it on my car and yes, I know that is stupid, but I'd rather have an irritated hand for a few hours than a reaction on the wheels.
The cleaner was on my hands for a good 10 minutes before I decided that its fine to use and leave for a couple of minutes on the wheel as I worked around the cross-spokes. So, after having done the bodywork, I got the toolbox out (to sit down on) and parked my bum in front of each wheel, one at a time.
Doing it properly!
I got to work with the BMW Wheel Cleaner and a Colgate Toothbrush (brand new, never used I'll have you know - I'm Proper, me!) and started on a section of the wheels at a time. I worked from the centre, outwards, so caps first, then the solid cross-spoke section and a rinse of water.
Then splitting the wheel into 4 imaginary pieces, did a quarter of the wheel at a time. They took ages (about 15minutes a wheel) but the job was, quite frankly amazing for a bottle of stuff that had only cost me £3*
Ive been through the Wonder-Wheels/Wheel Shine / Rim Bling stuff before and the only thing I prefer over this well priced BMW stuff is Meguairs which is roughly 3 times the cost!
Remember.
So guys, dont be afraid to defy the polishing-possee who swear that Meguairs is the only product worth having, take a look at the stuff your local stealer has to sell.... you might be suprised at the results it'll give.....
I certainly was!
