I've decided to give the engine a tidy up and was looking for some guidance.
Firstly the rocker cover is in need of a paint and I am obviously looking to recreate the mottled paint effect and get the M POWER text back to new.

Secondly the previous owner as waxoiled the engine bay which as left a unwanted yellowing effect on what use to be lovely white metal.I have managed to remove most of this with the steam cleaner but was wondering if there is a product which breaks it down so it can be removed by hand.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards.

Waxoil uses a solvent to creep into the little gaps and corners. The solvent evaporates and the wax hardens. Therefore White Spirit should do the trick, and maybe even get a hairdrier on it too.
