Hi I seem to have a lot of crap and grime between the hinge of the front doors especially. What cleaning products, especially to get in to the difficult places, will a brush do? also what about after cleaning, any kind of lubricant?

Personally I would use a good degreaser such as Gunk. Pop it in a spray bottle and spray it getting into the hinges and check strap. Work if in with an old paint brush/rag or mucky sponge then let it work it's magic, don't be afraid to use a lot of spray. Then once you're happy, let it settle into all the grime, take some boiling water and soak the area completely to get rid of it, work it in again with a clean brush if you've missed any. Hope this helps :)

If you give it a good clean and use boiling water it might be an idea to spray some white grease on the hinges to lube it up.

One of the best things to clean oil and grease is petrol just use a little at a time and wipe away with a rag, just don't use on any plastics or trim or fresh paint
